Continuing its fight against cancer in 2016, the Totalsports Women’s Race encourages runners and walkers to join the movement as they take the battle to the streets of Durban (Sunday, 17 July 2016), Johannesburg and Cape Town (Tuesday, 09 August 2016). Entries are now open!
“The Totalsports Women’s Race is proud to continue supporting South Africa’s best-loved Breast Cancer Community Carer,” says Charmaine Claasens, Head Of Marketing Totalsports. “We are excited to hit the ground running in the fight against cancer and fully support PinkDrive’s underlying message that ‘Early Detection Saves Lives’. Runners and walkers are encouraged to join in on the fun in each city. Enjoy the route, the vibe and the entertainment, but most importantly enjoy being part of the Totalsports Women’s Race movement by taking control of your health.”
The Totalsports Women’s Race supports PinkDrive, a Non-Profit Company (NPC) that is committed to improving
breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa. PinkDrive will join the events and will be offering FREE clinical breast examinations and educating on the importance of self- breast examinations, as ‘early detection saves lives’. Look out for the pink “Shop4Cancer”. Participants are encouraged to dress in pink.
